Available for those working at Howbery Business Park. Become an MHFAider® and learn how to identify, understand, and help someone who may be experiencing a mental health issue. MHFAiders® learn essential practical skills to spot signs, symptoms, and triggers, along with the latest understandings of mental health conditions. The MHFA course also equips learners with enhanced interpersonal skills via the ALGEE principles of active and non-judgmental listening. This is not about teaching people to think of themselves as therapists: Mental Health First Aid is about listening, reassuring, and responding to a person in distress – and potentially averting a crisis. Accredited and industry-leading qualification (Royal Society for Public Health Level 3) Supports staff wellbeing and retention Learn about effective signposting and support Reduce ill health at work and be part of de-stigmatising mental health ​This training session will be taking place at the Blackstone Room at Howbery Business Park over two full days. Delegates will receive printed training materials, access to the online learning hub and digital Manual, MHFA Support App, a certificate upon completion of the course (valid for three years), along with an invitation to join the Association of Mental Health First Aiders. ​Learn More (MHFA England website).
