Viking Lincolnshire Talk with Dr Kevin Leahy

Lincolnshire was part of the Viking 'Danelaw' and saw extensive Scandinavian settlement. We'll look at the historical and archaeological evidence for the Vikings in Lincolnshire which present a fascinating story. This year is the 50th Anniversary of the Viking Way, so called because of all the Viking settlements it goes through, come along and find out more. Dr Kevin Leahy will do a 90 minute talk with a break in the middle for cake and refreshments. He will answer questions afterwards. Dr Leahy has been involved in Lincolnshire Archaeology for more than 50 years, for 29 of which he was at the North Lincolnshire Museum for which he carried out major excavations. He now works for the British Museum and is responsible, amongst other things for Viking Treasure finds. Tickets are £10 and include a drink and cake.
