Soundbath at the Sanctuary | Led by Richard & Jo | External Event Hosted at Burrows Lea

—Update on April 19th The first soundbath with Richard in April was held in the spring sunshine by the flowing waters of the rill in the gardens of the Sanctuary. The sounds crescendos and silences of gongs and singing bowls were beautiful After a silence at the end we talked a little about our experiences and were offered various instruments that included singing bowls and chimes to play as we gently processed through the bluebells to the labyrinth. When we arrived at the centre we stood in silence focussing on world peace. R July 12th What to bring, when to arrive People arrive about 15 minutes before the start of the sound journey and are asked to bring some kind of mat to lie on so they are comfortable. A blanket is also a good idea either to lie on or to lie under in colder months. Easily forgotten is a flask of water ; but if you have neither a flask or mat both are available at the Sanctuary for you to use. What to expect. In fine weather the soundbath is held in the beautiful grounds and if it is raining inside in the Sanctuary. The whole experience lasts for about two hours and is evolving into a holistic experience that involves. Listening; To begin with Richard plays gongs and singing bowls and other instruments for about 45 minutes creating waves of sound that are both calming and exhilarating.
