Good Question! - Getting to Grips with God and Life.  Have you started thinking about whether there is a God, and whether God is knowable? And was Jesus just a good moral teacher, or more? Can I find purpose in life, or is it ultimately meaningless? And can we reconcile the loving God of Christianity with a suffering world? We're running these sessions to grapple with these and other thorny questions. The sessions are for curious people of some faith and none, in the context of a presentation and small group discussion. We'll start at 7:30pm in Trinity House, and end by 9.15pm. Refreshments will be provided. This week (Thursday 11th June) we will look at - 'Can we find Meaning in Life without God?' Thursday 25th June - 'Why is there so much Suffering in the World?' Thursday 9th July - 'Don't all Religions lead to God?' Please sign up for each of these free evenings. Element

Element Beginning on Thursday 16th April for 9 weeks 7-9.30pm Element is a nine-week series designed for anyone who has recently come to faith or done the Alpha Course and wants to go deeper in their relationship with God and grow in their Christian faith. We spend the nine evenings exploring questions (for example, "How can I hear God's voice?", "How can I grow in trusting him?", "What gifts has the Holy Spirit given, and how do I develop them?") and having shared a meal together. There will also be one Saturday session as part of the course (date TBC). ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- We will start at 7pm in Trinity House ground floor for a meal & community time together before heading upstairs to start the session around 7.40pm. (Even if you prefer not to eat the meal at 7pm, please aim to arrive as soon as possible after 7pm in order to share social time with others.) Freedom in Christ

Freedom in Christ is the equivalent of an annual spiritual MOT and it is a 9 week course designed to help every Christian take hold of the truth of our identity in Christ, resolve any personal and spiritual issues that may be holding us back, and become a fruitful, effective disciple of Jesus. At the end of the course we have the Steps to Freedom day on Saturday 13th June which is an amazing day where we draw it all together! Please keep this date free if you can. Some of the areas covered in the course include: — How we became brand new people from the inside out when we became Christians — Why we can go boldly into God's presence any time we like without fear — How nothing we can do can make God love us any more or any less — How to resolve effects of even the deepest issues from the past — How to deal with repeating patterns of sin — Understand what God's purpose for your life is (it may not be what you think!) Join us at 7pm for food or 7:30pm for worship and coffee before the teaching and group discussion. There is a £15 cost to the course to cover the course materials and refreshments, and if you would like food each week, it is £4 per meal. We never want cost to be a barrier to someone joining the course though, so please get in contact if it is something you need help with. Please note: if you are unable to make week one, you are more than welcome to come join from week two.

Spear Celebration

You are Invited! ... we love having a room full of people to champion these fantastic young people as they complete the Spear Programme. So please do come along, bring a friend, use it as a Life Group evening out etc.! During the evening each young person shares the inspiring ways they have overcome challenges in their life and the hope they have for the future. Each young person has at least one barrier (criminal record, lived in care, mental health, no qualifications etc.) and this is a huge step out of their comfort zone so is always super impactful!
