Join us for a fun reading of Am I Yours? by Alex Latimer (published by Oxford University Press), a heartwarming story about a little dinosaur egg trying to find where they belong. Get involved as we bring this story to life in our amazing theatre space. Expect lots of interactive moments for little explorers as we go on a journey through the prehistoric world of dinosaurs. Stamp your feet, laugh along, and get ready to give your best dinosaur ROAR! This session is perfect for young dino fans and their grown-ups!Event InformationRecommended for children aged 8 years old and below. Children must be accompanied by an adult.Join us in The Theatre on Level 3 of Thinktank.Two sessions (10:45am and 11:45am) on Thursday 28 May and then every Thursday during and the summer holidays (Monday 20th July to Monday 31st August).Sessions last approximately 20 minutes.Included in the admission price.

Morning Explorers

Morning Explorers is an accessibility program for autistic people and those with similar disabilities. Running on the second Saturday of each month, it offers some accessible adaptions to the museum experience, plus an optional Autism Friendly planetarium show. On these mornings we offer early entrance into the museum at 9am, before the museum opens to the public at 10am. This allows you to explore the museum at a quieter time. To reduce the noise level, we will mute the majority of sound making exhibits until 11am. Ear defenders and sensory maps will be available on entrance, and access to quiet spaces may be arranged on request.This event is suitable for autistic adults, autistic children, and any friends, family, and personal assistants who would like to join.Pre-booking is essential for admission.Members - Free entry for Members but you will need to pre-book at ticket. (Planetarium shows £3). We also offer a range of accessible resources, including social stories, sensory maps and picture and symbol cards. See our Accessibility Information for more details.

Toddler Thursday

Inspire your future scientists and astronauts by joining our family-friendly relaxed Planetarium experience.Join us as we explore our night sky, look for shapes and patterns in the stars, and use our imaginations to blast off to explore the Solar System! Our adventure will finish with immersive space imagery ideal for your young astronauts! Session lasts for 30 minutes. Pre-booking is recommended. When you book your admission tickets, an option to book your Toddler Thursday Planetarium tickets will be available on the next web page.
