Join the Rangers as they take you down to Morte Point, learning tales of notorious smugglers and wreckers, the role of Morte Pointe in WW2 and spotting a few local residents (Atlantic seals) along the way. You will also get to learn a little more about how the National Trust now looks after and cares for this dramatic landscape. Tractor Trailer rides last around 45mins and cost £8 per Adult, £4 for children 3 yrs + and free for children under 2 if sitting on an adult's lap. Booking is essential, tickets not needed for children 2 years and under if sitting on an adult's lap. Due to limited space, we are unable to accommodate dogs on this event.

Ilfracombe Torrs guided walk

Join us for a short (but steep) guided walk around the beautiful Ilfracombe Torrs, led by one of the National Trust rangers as part of Ilfracombe Coast Week 2026. Discover dramatic coastal views alongside a rich and varied landscape, as we explore some of the flora and fauna that thrive here. Along the way, you’ll also gain an insight into how the land is carefully managed and conserved to protect its unique character. The walk is relatively short in length but includes some steep sections, with ground that can be rough and uneven in places, so suitable outdoor clothing and sturdy footwear are recommended. If you have them, do bring binoculars - the Torrs are home to a variety of birdlife and there’s often plenty to spot. This events cost £3 per person.
