London-based ‘Five-Way Split’present their 2nd album ‘Modus Operandi’, providing a continuation of the straight-ahead contemporary bop which was the hallmark of their standout 2023 debut ‘All the Way’. Formed and crafted during weeks and months of rehearsal throughout the 2020 lockdown, the ‘Split ’take the lineage of hard bop giants ‘Art Blakey & The Jazz Messengers’, infuse the modern-day sound of New York super group ‘One for All ’and have created their own unique take on the genre.
