This workshop includes all the materials, and you’ll be guided step by step through the process of designing and weaving your butterfly. Who is it for? This workshop is for anyone who enjoys crafts, nature, and the magic of handmade art. It’s specifically tailored to both experienced weavers and beginners, ensuring a rewarding experience for all skill levels. You will be guided through creating mass, texture, and you’ll learn how to sculpt sustainable willow into a swift form. What’s Included? Within the workshop, you receive everything you need to weave your butterfly. ~ Quality willow materials, carefully selected for weaving. ~ All the necessary tools and accessories for the workshop. ~ Lunch, tea & coffee included. ~ Expert guidance from our course leader, Vik, who will ensure your butterfly comes to life. ~ A unique opportunity to learn about the tradition and techniques of willow weaving. Meet Vik Willow and Wire Sculpture Victoria Westaway, or Vik, as she’s more commonly known, hails from South Somerset. She began her creative journey as a theatre designer and maker, using a willow framework for carnivalesque costumes.
