We're looking forward to the Leeds Marathons on Sunday 10 May. Instead of our usual Sunday Gathering, you are invited to come and join in with doing church on the Otley Road. There is a huge opportunity for us to bless Headingley, the runners and volunteers. Here are some of the ways you can get involved: — Make music - sing or play, from the garden outside We've secured the spot outside HMC as a place to base a band or choir or a DJ. Would you like to sing, play or help with the logistics? The excellent Leeds Concert Band will be returning this year. — Set up a cheer station by gathering some friends and supporting the runners as they pass Come and join our cheer station outside HMC - bring some big encouraging posters, help make pendants and things for the children to shake, gather some friends. You could even bring water squirters to cool down the runners if its a hot day! We are going to make some noise, cheer on the participants and give as much support as possible. — Be a loo monitor as we bless the volunteers with the HMC toilets on Chapel Street Having the toilets at the back of HMC available for the volunteers to use would be a real blessing to them. We'd love to have a team who could take turns to monitor the loos.
