A “belting” night of history is coming to Belper… TV historian Richard Felix is bringing his Knights Templar talk to Tylers on June 18th, and this one is packed with real local connections. Did you know there are links between the Knights Templar and Derbyshire? Or that Duffield Castle and the Earl of Derby tie into the story… even connections stretching as far as the Crusades with King Richard I? Richard has spent years researching the subject, including TV work on the Yesterday Channel, and promises a fascinating, entertaining evening full of facts, stories and a few surprises along the way… including an unexpected link to the Battle of Waterloo.
