Great things happen when artists come together. As part of the acclaimed Resonance project, these artists explore their diverse heritage and invent tomorrow, through a range of genres from electronic to classical, experimental to folk. Christine Zhou is a composer and filmmaker. Her work blends music and documentary to explore memory, identity, and cultural complexity, driven by a desire to connect past and present. https://linktr.ee/christized Aayushi creates strikingly tender songs, drawing inspiration from her Indian heritage to evoke an atmosphere that is soft, hypnotic and whimsical https://www.aayushimusic.com Andrew Barney is an award-winning composer, pianist, multilingual artist and proud Scouser with West African, Caribbean and Irish heritage. As a composer and performer, his work bridges cultures, languages and musical traditions, creating deeply personal yet universally resonant music – https://linktr.ee/andrewbarney Astrolayb aka electronic and sampling artist Pranam Mavahalli takes his inspiration from the musicality inherent in Kannada, the language native to Karnataka, India, where his parents grew up and where he spent part of his childhood. Thanks and gratitude to Opera North for their support on this project. Previous Resonance alumni include Testament, Jasdeep Singh Degun, Abel Selaocoe, Keisha Thompson and THABO.
