The Tonic is Julie Atkin on piano, Ollie Woods on percussion, Gavin Atkin on fiddle and Malcolm Woods on Melodeon. Formed fourteen years ago, we have a mutual love of English song and dance music. We have all been actively involved in the English folk scene for many years as dancers, singers and musicians and this has enabled us to put together a large and rich repertoire of tunes and songs. As a band, we have appeared at a number of festivals including Sidmouth in 2024, the now lamented Tenterden Folk Festival and of course Broadstairs Folk Festival. We’re really looking forward to being back again and meeting friends old and new. Ollie Simons is one of the most charismatic and in-demand young callers currently on the scene. His seemingly boundless energy also sees him as a member of more Morris dance teams than we would think possible at once! Ollie’s calling is infectious, you can’t help but dance with a grin on your face. BUY TICKETS
