About this event
Passionate about thoughtful creating, Sandy Hatton’s work encourages the continuation of traditional crafting techniques, her practice favours the individualism over mass production. Throughout the day you will learn to felt a charming classic bear; made through a simple step by step process, perfect for both the novice and expert. In various shades of brown each bear is made to be tactile and special; with articulated arms and legs to add extra character. There will be an element of sewing to attach paw pads and bear assembly. Made with material’s that look good and do good; felted from ethically sourced British wool each bear would be a warm resident in any home. It really is a fascinating craft to learn and you’ll depart with the skills to continue felting at home. (You will make the bear on top of the pumpkin)
