Do you want to develop your pastel painting skills and gain confidence capturing the movement, light, and atmosphere of water? Join talented pastel artist Jo Garlick for this one-day workshop focused on using pastels to portray water in its many forms -from gentle streams and reflective ponds to crashing waves and flowing rivers. Designed for both beginners and those with some experience, this workshop will help you take your pastel work further. Jo will guide you through: The differences between hard and soft pastels Choosing and using different pastel papers Techniques such as layering, underpainting, and mark making How to handle reflections, transparency, and movement in water scenes Composition and drawing tips to create expressive, atmospheric paintings This is a relaxed, supportive session with plenty of individual guidance. A £5 materials charge is payable on the day. All other tools and reference materials will be provided.
