Mersey Weaver #BigThankyou

Every day across Mersey Weaver, volunteers like you go above and beyond to support young people and fellow team members—often quietly and without fuss. We are really proud of our incredible volunteers and every year we say thank you by inviting all adult volunteers in Mersey Weaver to a celebratory event at Queen Charlotte’s Wood. The event is a fairly relaxed afternoon with an awards presentation, delicious food and drink, lawn games, and an opportunity to meet people from across the district as well as an opportunity to enjoy our beautiful Activity Centre with Scout friends. The aim of the event is twofold. To thank our volunteers during volunteer’s week with a social event and celebrate our local award recipients of 2025/2026. This year, both our outgoing Lead Volunteer, Oli and incoming Lead Volunteer, Tom will be teaming up to cook a delicious lunch of Pulled Pork, Beef Brisket, Ribs, local new potatoes and salad. It will be a great opportunity for Oli to say his thank you’s and for Tom to meet people in a relaxed setting. Please RSVP by 28 May so we can ensure there is adequate catering.
