Grim Dark Gaming Society

About this event

The Grim Dark Gaming Society has been going since January 2023 and provides facilities and equipment for Science Fiction and table-top gaming. We provide a space to discuss, paint and play fantasy and sci-fi games. We also offer a safe place to play, paint and meet like-minded people with the same interest. Beginners and experienced players are all welcome. The society is a non-profit organisation made to further enjoyment of the hobby in all aspects. It is also a great opportunity for players to play games with new people and expand participants’ knowledge and passion for Warhammer and similar strategy games. Whilst these are the main games played there is always room for others and we have board games such as, Rumble Slam, Scythe and many more. The club is based above the willows shake shop at the heart of Abingdon town centre and sessions take place on Mondays and Wednesday between 6:30pm and 10:00pm. On Saturday it starts at 10:30am and ends at 4:00pm. There will always be one committee member at each session to welcome you, and of course me on a Wednesday. In the evenings and at the weekend you can get refreshments downstairs such as milkshakes, coffee tea and cold drinks so there’s a wide variety of hot or cold food available, depending on your taste.
