A fascinating walk, led by a guide, around old Amersham. Discover the historic buildings and the interesting stories of the people who lived in and shaped the town in the past. The workhouses of Amersham Coaching inns and 18th and 19th century travel Social housing Cottage industries Post War development: – Brazils factory to Tesco – Gas Works to offices – Bus Garage to retirement homes – Workhouse to hospital 1½ to 2 hours. We strongly recommending booking your tickets in advance to guarantee your place on our walks. While we will do our best to accommodate people on the day, places are subject to availability. Notes If you would like to visit the museum on the same day as your walk, this is possible from 11:30am before the walk starts, but there is not time after the walk finishes.
