Novelist Charles Condomine and his second wife Ruth are literally haunted by a past relationship when Madame Arcati inadvertently conjures up the ghost of his first wife, Elvira, at a séance. Determined to sabotage his current marriage, the mischievous Elvira makes sure life - and the afterlife - gets very complicated for all concerned! One of the UK’s best loved actors for more than five decades, Felicity Kendal shot to fame in legendary BBC comedy The Good Life and has won numerous awards for her stage work.
