THIS EVENT IS SEATED CABARET WITH A DANCE FLOOR This 'Revolver 60th' show celebrates six decades since the release of an album that is considered by many to be the Beatles' finest; its ground-breaking tracks such as 'Taxman', 'Eleanor Rigby' and 'Tomorrow never knows' were never played live by the Beatles themselves but you'll hear these and many more songs from that album and more, performed by The Dung Beatles at The Chapel Arts Centre! About the band: from dozens of chart-topping hits to classic, rarely played album tracks, The Dung Beatles blend authentic arrangements and top-drawer musicianship with high-energy performances. Such is the band's reputation established over the last decade to prompt David Stopps (founder and promoter of the legendary Friars Club in Aylesbury) to rate them as "one of the best Beatles bands in the world". The band has played hundreds of gigs, from theatres to festivals to clubs, including Aylesbury's Waterside (where they recently sold out the 1,100 seater auditorium), Chesham's Elgiva theatre, and The Cavern in Liverpool. They have also been regular guests and live performers on BBC radio. Says band member Steve Hillier, "we prefer to be known as a 'Beatles rock band', rather than 'tribute', as there are no costumes, wigs, acting or backing tracks.
