Katie Jones is an artist inspired by places and moments that catch her eye: from quirky buildings to hidden corners that have a story to tell. When visiting new places, she is constantly noticing the small details: the way the light falls on a building, or how vines grow up a tall tree trunk. Working primarily in watercolour and ink, her practice is about mindfulness and being present while capturing the essence of a place or moment. By closely observing the details of architecture or the organic shapes found in nature, she develops a deeper connection to the world around her. Each painting, drawing, and sketch becomes a record of a meaningful experience, and an invitation for others to pause, reflect, and find a sense of calm and beauty in the world around us. Alongside her artistic practice, Katie is a graphic designer and founder of The Grove Creative Studio, a branding and design studio based in Leamington Spa. She has exhibited her artwork locally with Warwickshire Open Studios, LSA, Stoneleigh Arms and Leamington History Group, as well as nationally as part of the Secret 7″ x War Child exhibition and auction in London in 2024 & 2025.
