Summer Rendezvous 2026 - Volunteers

Summer Rendezvous, our holiday at home for older people, is taking place on Friday 21st, Saturday 22nd and Sunday 23rd August. The theme this year is Summer Cruise! There will something for everyone to enjoy the Summer Cruise feeling this year including a party with music and games, a Relax Zone with free massage, spaces for various games and arts + crafts, a film, delicious lunches, bible thoughts for the day and space for prayer and reflection. We need volunteers to help and make it happen! There are all sorts of ways you can help: people to help setup on Monday 18th August and clear up on the Wednesday afternoon, people to pray, helpers for the various activities, transport, daily clear up, refreshments, help with lunches etc. Please submit this form by 6th July to aid our planning and so that we have enough time for any DBS checks to take place. Please note that all volunteers will need to undertake a DBS check and Diocesan Safeguarding Training (unless you already have a valid Emmanuel DBS check and in-date training). We realise this can be a hassle but please do take the time to do so as we have a right duty as a church to fulfil these obligations.
