A bridge between Israel’s Days of Remembrance and Independence, we shall recall Israel’s technical achievements over its 78-year history through the eyes of the remarkable growth of The Technion from a simple technical educational facility in Palestine in 1923 to a global scientific powerhouse today. We shall hold a short pm, followed by Israeli food and pm. Our film telling the tale of the pm will be followed by a discussion with an officer of Technion UK. Discover Israel ‘s technical achievements through 100 years of the Technion in Haifa. The film will show how essential was the growth of the Technion in shaping the State of Israel and the growth of rebuilding a Jewish homeland. In its early years the Technion and its workshops enabled the Haganah to produce explosives as part of the Jewish Defence Movement, with many of the students and teachers involved. Today the Technion is among the top universities in the world, providing a few esteemed Nobel Prize winners. See below to buy your tickets. Mosaic members £5. Non-members £7.
