John Coghlan is Status Quo’s founder drummer, performing worldwide for nearly 20 of the band’s formative and some might say, most successful years. Following a meeting of minds and many cups of coffee, bassist Paul Jefferies and John decided to create a brand new project that would feature the legendary drummer himself and a section of the Quo’s greatest hits, but performed with an acoustic jazz quartet format and re-imagined to include improvisation and exciting new arrangements. This exciting quartet also features the explosive talents of jazz violinist/vocalist Ben Holder and the talented Cheltenham based pianist Alex Steele - the result is highly entertaining and dare we say it - electrifying! John Coghlan (drums) Paul Jeffries (bass) Ben Holder (violin, vocals) Alex Steele (piano)
