Andrew Baughen studied business finance as an undergraduate at City of London Polytechnic and began his career at Coopers & Lybrand where he was a management consultant specialising in banking strategy. He then studied theology and became the Vicar of Saint James Clerkenwell where he started the School of Faith. He completed an Executive MBA programme at Bayes Business School (formerly Cass) and continues to work in the 'theotech' sector at the intersection of business and theology. He produces talks that explore what it means to bring your faith to work (soulfactor.org) and has developed a strategic planning tool for churches called The Because Approach. Andrew is Chaplain, lecturer in business ethics and Honorary Visiting Fellow at Bayes Business School, City St George's, University of London. He researches the difference between soul-full and soul-less organisations and how worldview shapes the way we see our work and make ethical decisions (soulfulenterprise.org). He has created a tool that maps the wide range of value generated by a business for the greater good (wholevalue.org) and has written a book about the wider value of our work: A Life's Value. How to find meaningful value in everyday work.
