Meet Paralympic wheelchair racer Karé Adenegan

On Wednesday 24th June 2026, we are hosting a free online talk for primary and lower secondary schools (Key Stages 1 to 3) with Paralympic medallist Karé Adenegan. The session will take place from 10:30 to 11:15am. Image Credit: ParalympicsGB imagecomms Karé Adenegan is a wheelchair racer and seven-time Paralympic medallist who began her journey in athletics at the age of eleven, after watching the London 2012 Paralympic Games. Before discovering wheelchair racing, Karé was excluded from PE lessons at primary school, an experience that highlights how important it is for all young people to feel included and supported in sport. Just four years after taking up the sport, Karé represented Paralympics GB at the Rio 2016 Paralympic Games, where she won three medals: silver in the 100m and bronze in the 400m and 800m. She was named the BBC’s Young Sports Personality of the Year in 2018. She has since gone on to win multiple medals at the Tokyo 2020...
