From The Jam

From The Jam is the essential live celebration of the music of The Jam. Formed naturally in 2004 by Russell Hastings with two-thirds of the band's original lineup, including drummer Rick Buckler (The Jam) and bassist Bruce Foxton (The Jam), From The Jam are remarkable in their ability to tap into the same energy, passion and sound as the guys produced in those five special years from 77 through to 82, transporting fans directly into the world of the music that we all know and love. “I just go up and sing the songs how I remember them being sung and I am many thousands of shows in now and I also had the good fortune of playing with Bruce and Rick for many years and then becoming my dearest friends so we ended up sharing the idiosyncrasies of the songs which I guess gives its authenticity. Who knows? It just works and people love singing those songs that mean so much to them!” - Russell Hastings. Rick left the band in 2010 to pursue other projects leaving Bruce and Russell to join forces with Mark Brzezicki from Big Country on drum duties. It was around this time that the first ‘Foxton and Hastings’ album was born. Back In The Room was recorded at Paul Weller’s Black Barn Studios and also featuring Paul Weller on three or four songs including taking piano duties on the hit single ‘Number Six’.
