This course is a dual course run over one day but composing of two different courses. Personal Safety and Social Responsibilities course forms part of the STCW 95 mandatory basic safety training for all seafarers. Background knowledge Shipboard organisation/general shipboard terms Emergency procedures Observe safe working practices Understand and take necessary actions to control fatigue Pollution prevention Shipboard duties and responsibilities Social responsibility Proficiency in Security Awareness aims to provide new entrants to the maritime industry with the knowledge and understanding they require on the security of ships and port facilities. The course content is developed in line with the criteria developed by Merchant Navy Training Board (MNTB) and approval by the Maritime Coastguard Agency (MCA).
