Staff Go E-bike Induction – Gateway

Gain access to the Universities fleet of 19 E-Bikes by attending this short induction. We will show you how to access the bikes and go through some basic skills to enable you to use them for free to get around town or for commuting. University Staff only. Please wear suitable clothing for cycling.

Edible Campus garden session at St Mary’s

Join us at this weekly garden session in the lovely St Mary’s Garden where we will be carrying out a variety of garden tasks including seed sowing, composting, pruning and harvesting. Please bring a bag to take away the produce and wear suitable footwear.

Join your local sharing economy and be part of a fantastic community of passionate people who help tackle waste, save carbon, keep money in people’s pockets and build community! Everyone is welcome at our St AndReuse store – you can stop by to donate items, pick up something you need or find something unexpected, catch up with friends, or volunteer. It doesn’t matter whether you are staff, student, local resident, tourist or are just passing by, please come and say hello! We have just about anything but our staples are – kitchenware (saucepans, crockery, glasses, cutlery etc), fluffy cushions and blankets, laundry baskets/ shower racks, kids toys and clothes, a huge range of adults shoes and clothes, stationery (folders, pens, notebooks), puzzles and games, electrical appliances, adapters and cables, books, and all kinds of bedding (duvets, duvet covers and sheets, pillows and pillow cases, mattress protectors). Previous unusual donations include things like fairy wings, a Nintendo Wii, a family size tent (sleeping 8-12), golf clubs, a dehumidifier, drum kit, blow up mattresses… the list goes on. You just never know what you’re going to find! EVERYTHING IS FREE except adult clothes and shoes which are £1 an item/pair. The money then gets reinvested into Transition’s other activities and events, to keep them no or low cost.
