About this event
All women are welcome to our Women in Conservation Day: Practical Sand Patching Work Party. No experience needed - just a willingness to get hands-on and learn about the wildlife that thrives on bare sand. We’ll use mattocks and spades to clear vegetation and create open sand habitats, guided by our female ranger team. Expect a supportive, friendly space to connect with like-minded people and try practical conservation. A great way to spend a summer day outdoors—plus brews and biscuits included. Important to note: If you are aged 12-17, please make sure you are accompanied by a female adult. We are offering free transport, but we have limited spaces. Please only book free transport if you do not have access to a car.
