Christianity has always met with opposition to varying degrees. Jesus predicted it (John 15:18-19). Paul, the first great evangelist, often faced opposition. In his travels Paul reached the Greek city of Thessalonica and preached there for three weeks. Many responded favourably to Paul's preaching and became Christians. But many also opposed him, started a riot and drove him out of the city (Acts 17:1-5). The gospel has that effect on people. Upon hearing it some decide to follow Jesus and some don't. There are several reasons why people reject the gospel. Churchgoing is unfashionable and who want to be out of fashion? Another reason is peer pressure; it can be difficult to go against the flow. Are you resisting the call of God on your life because churchgoing is unfashionable? Or because of peer pressure? Are you locked into herd mentality and don't want to rebel? Is God calling you? Breakout! If you have rejected Christianity without investigating it then be rational: try church before passing judgement.
