About this event
An hour of yoga for LGBTQ+ people of all abilities Join us for an hour of yoga at the London LGBTQ+ Community Centre. Yoga is held on an ad-hoc basis on Fridays and Saturdays from 11am – 12pm. Please check Eventbrite for any changes and ensure you have registered before attending. Yoga mats are provided but please bring your own if you wish. Sessions are charged on a pay-what-you-can basis. All payments go towards supporting the ongoing work of the London LGBTQ+ Community Centre. Discover the meaning behind common yoga postures and their benefits Briefly explain foundational poses like downward-facing dog (Adho Mukha Svanasana), Warrior II (Virabhadrasana II) and lunges Yoga philosophy – gain insights into ethical guidances and inner observances of yoga known as the Yamas and Niyamas Explore the concept of Chakras (energy centres in the body) Q&A: your opportunity to ask any questions you have about yoga, its practices and philosophy! About the facilitators Morning yoga is run by a rotating group of LGBTQ+ volunteers, all of whom are professionally qualified yoga instructors.
