About this event

Experience an intimate and exclusive evening in the magnificent Great Hall, by getting up close and personal with costumes from Queens of the past as seen in TV and film. Including the stunning replica of Queen Elizabeth II’s coronation dress worn by Claire Foy in Netflix’s The Crown, plus Jenna Coleman’s beautiful gown from ITV’s Victoria, Helen Mirren’s Elizabeth I and others from BBC’s Wolf Hall. This is an intimate, exclusive event like no other, with opportunity to see these special costumes up close and personal, with a talk on each by Dr Alex Walker, specialist in costume for stage and screen. It’s a behind the scenes experience, a chance to learn the secrets of a costume designer, revealing the character through clothing, showing how royals of the past demonstrated their wealth, status and power. Limited tickets available.
