Weekly drop-in creative sessions for children (ages 0-5) with their parents/carers on Saturdays Session 1: 10.15am – 11.15am Session 2: 11.30am – 12.30pm Sessions also take place on Thursday mornings, 10am – 12pm For families living in the local areas of Muirhouse, Pilton, Granton & Drylaw Sessions are 1 hour long, including a 15 min sign in/welcome and snack Max. 12 children per session DROP IN – places are not guaranteed. Places are available on first come, first served basis. If Session 1 is full, you can sign up for Session 2. We recommend arriving in good time for the start of the session to avoid disappointment. Families should please attend only one session per day – Session 1 OR Session 2 Families can attend different sessions each week, you don’t need to stick to the same time FREE but registration is required. Please COMPLETE THIS ONLINE FORM to register your child for CREATE. If you have already completed a Child Registration Form for 2025/26, there’s no need to complete a new one. About CREATE: CREATE is an art-making experience for early years, that engages parents and carers in messy play with the children, aged 5 and under, in their care.

About CREATE: CREATE is an art-making experience for early years, that engages parents and carers in messy play with the children, aged 5 and under, in their care. Running two mornings a week the project aims to provide active childhood experiences for adults and children. CREATE provides the resources, ideas and creative inspiration for a range of activities that can often be replicated in the home environment using recycled, low-cost and easily obtainable materials. No previous experience is needed, all abilities welcome! A healthy snack is provided for all attending. Sessions may take place indoors – or sometimes outdoors if weather permits!

Community Shed Sessions

Tuesday – Thursday, 10am – 2pm The Shed is a welcoming, safe space where people living in North Edinburgh can come to make or mend stuff using recycled wood. We aim to create a fun space where our members can meet new people, learn new skills, and feel supported to realise their creative ambitions. If you want to learn about wood-making, up-cycle your home furniture or make something new out of recycled wood, come and join us! Tools, space, and support will be provided. The Shed is open for old and new members, between Tuesday and Thursday, 10am to 2pm.
