About this event
Join cyanotype artist Laurinda Bellew to explore the magic of sun printing. Learn the basics of cyanotype, an alternative photographic process from the 1840’s. Using various pre-coated paper and fabric, experiment and create your very own beautiful blueprints. In this workshop, you will use pre-coated papers and fabric to experiment with flowers, leaves and found objects suitable for printing, learn how to expose the paper using natural sunlight, and learn how to rinse and dry the print. All materials are provided. There will be plenty of leaves and flowers for you to work from, but it is encouraged for you to bring your own flat items to print. Pressed flowers, lace, feathers, or negatives work well. Fingers crossed for sunshine, but it works on cloudy days too! UV Lights will be available as a back-up if the sun doesn’t behave. Adults 18+ only
