In 2023 Fred Zeppelin have reached 30 years together. Well, to be precise, Steve Black (that’s me on drums) formed the band 30 years ago with three mates. Our original singer Rob Bloomer left after 2 years so Steven Gale replaced him, and approx 11 years ago our bassist Kevin Brown, & guitarist Keith Jenkins also left the band. We really thought that would be the end but we got very lucky and found the dynamic duo of Mark Cresswell on bass and Elliot Gavin on guitar. We’re a bit like Trigger from ‘Only Fools & Horses’ talking about his broom (that’s if you are old enough to remember!). Anyway, we think 30 years is an achievement that we’re all proud of. 30 Years Gone…. During their time together the band are honoured that Led Zeppelin’s front-man, Robert Plant, has attended three of their gigs and John Bonham’s son, Jason, even jammed with them on stage. It must surely also be the best recommendation any band could receive and assure Led Zeppelin fans apprehensive about seeing The Fredz. It’s worth taking a camera with you, as you don’t know who could be standing next to you. In the audience have been MAGNUM’s front-man Bob Catley, WHITESNAKE’s guitarist Mel Galley. Roy Wood legendary main man of THE MOVE & WIZZARD, and SLADES Jimmy Lea. The band were also invited by Led Zeppelin’s Jimmy Page to attend a charity event of which Jimmy is a patron. They were thrilled to meet and chat with the legendary guitarist.

This year (2026) MOSHtalgia are excited to announce Jade Maris will be joining Chris on vocal duties at select events. This enables the band to perform Evanescene, Paramore, Avril Lavigne and Flyleaf (+more) at a quality level fans come to expect from their shows. You will be hard pushed to find a band as close to the record as MOSHtalgia.

He first appeared with Resolution 88 in November 2022 and, as a mentor for Dan Lockheart on the Jazz Central Mentoring Scheme, he performed with Dan’s quintet in September the following year. This time, following sold-out album launches in New York and London, he’s back with his own cutting edge quartet performing music from his new album, Letters From Afar, a sonic correspondence across emotional, geographic, and artistic distances. Described as “leading the charge of new jazz music being created in the UK” (BBC Jazz World), “an astonishingly quick thinking virtuoso” (Jazzwise magazine) and “tumbling with ideas, impulsive improvisations and swinging, left-field energy” (MOJO Magazine), saxophonist and Ivor Novello-nominated composer Hitchcock is a leading voice on the international jazz stage. Emerging from London’s fertile jazz scene and shaped by inventive collaborations across Europe, the US, and further afield, he has built an international reputation for music that balances real-world urgency with formal and stylistic exploration.
