Dowland, De La Halle, Dag Wiren, plus unnamed Latin composers for guitarist. Canorus was formed principally to sing polyphonic music of the Renaissance period, and the group is kept deliberately small. We are pleased to contribute to the John Dowland celebrations this year, and we are also delighted to be singing some Palestrina – one of our favourite composers! We are sufficiently broad-minded to include some marvellous pieces by Stanford, Elgar and Finzi, and hope you will enjoy listening as much as we will enjoy performing!
