A special opportunity to witness work being done on the floorboards of our upstairs rooms in the old Heelis building. Join our conservator and wood specialist, plus members of the collections team, as they work on caring for the building. You can ask the team questions about the work they're doing or about the architecture and history of the building. Come and join us for this rare opportunity!

Free event (admission applies) 'Peter was not very well during the evening. His mother put him to bed, and made some chamomile tea: "One table-spoonful to be taken at bedtime."' - From The Tale of Peter Rabbit, by Beatrix Potter. Perhaps Peter has had too much chamomile tea this time, because there are some tiny golden versions of him around the bookshop! Can you spot them all? It's best to leave them where they are so our bookseller can catch them later but you can always take a book home with you. You're welcome to make a donation to take part in this event.
