The Locationist proudly presents ‘BMAG on film’ a special bespoke tour of the buildings and surrounding areas, film and TV locations. So join us (by order of the Peaky Blinders) for a very exclusive tour experience.Birmingham Museum & Art Gallery has granted unique access to parts of the building not generally open to the public, that was used for some iconic key scenes from the Netflix film Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man. Also discover where parts of the current series of BBC’s Silent Witness were filmed, along with The Game, Amazon Prime’s Citadel, The Colour Room, and KingsMan: The Golden Circle. So get ready to walk in the footsteps of Oscar-winning Cillian Murphy, Tim Roth and many more TV and cinema icons as The Locationist will screen-match scenes to locations using screen-grab photographs. Having appeared himself on TV as a supporting artist in many productions, there will be lots of fun and entertaining anecdotes to tell most often from filming on location. The tour is a must for any film geek, film student, content creator or simply anyone interested in the magic of filmmaking on location.About the LocationistThe Locationist was formed by Lee Perkins, a former BBC and ITV tour guide and CBBC events presenter, of almost 20 years. Seeing a gap in the market in walking tours in Birmingham and also Manchester, together with his love for all things TV and film, set up the immersive film and TV locations walking tour.

Brum Radicals

Join us for a new kind of networking event for Birmingham’s creative community. Brum Radicals is relaxed, welcoming, and rooted in the spirit of making together. Inspired by places like the Red House and Kelmscott Manor, which became living experiments in the Arts & Crafts ideals of beauty, craftsmanship, and communal creativity, this space invites artists to come together, share ideas, and create side by side.Whether you’re a practising artist, a student, a maker, or simply someone curious about the local creative scene, this is a space to meet others, talk about your work, and collaborate in an open, supportive environment.A Space for Sharing, Learning, and Community. It’s a place where creativity is communal, not competitive, where everyone contributes to a shared atmosphere of curiosity.Event information: 1 pm - 2 pmGet an exclusive peek into our curator's minds – Learn what they do in the museum / pick their brains for advice, talk to them about your work. A chance to meet and greet.2 pm – 3 pmBring your ideas to the table, find a collaborator, come and experiment and work together to produce your work. A relaxed networking session. Inspired by our favourite Arts and Crafts artists. 3 pm – 4.45 pmA chance to present your work/ process in the form of a presentation/ almost like a pop-up show, but in slides! It doesn’t have to be a complete idea; you can just showcase your process, bring your materials, and talk about the ways you work.
