Come along on Wednesdays and join in weekly projects and activities that will help to increase your confidence, skills, knowledge, and social connections. A snippet of what’s coming up this year: – Willow weaving projects – Wildflower meadow management, monitoring, and recording (small areas) – Sowing seeds to grow vegetables and beneficial flowers – Creating an herbaceous flower bed to support bees and butterflies – Gain horticulture knowledge and skills, learn to garden without impacting the environment -organic, no dig, using natural materials, re-using, recycling, composting and more. – Woodworking projects: bee hotels, wildflower/herb boxes, bird boxes, hedgehog house (? DIY) – Environmental crafts using flowers and herbs from the garden – Collecting seeds and drying to use in products to raise money for the garden on our Heritage stall and green fairs. – Creating a water feature, rain garden/creek – Re-using an old boat to make an alpine garden – We’re also completing projects such as the Strawbale building and outdoor kitchen and additional work on the Workshop.
