About this event

Artists including Shirley Travenor, Paul Riley and Anne Blockley have forged new ways of painting flowers in the last thirty years, with a confident shift from botanical illustration to more impressionistic abstract renderings. They are highly respected in the watercolour community internationally, because of their pioneering work, reflecting a growing interest in creating a more 'dreamy' approach to flower painting. On this workshop Jason will be taking you through some of the ways modern artists render flowers, letting the brush and watercolour paint flow to create a more relaxed floral style. He will also explain how abstraction can be used within backgrounds. Don't miss this opportunity to transform your flower painting style.
