Sewing courses

Bollington Community Centre – Sewing Courses T uesdays 4.15 – 6.15pm Young sewers age 8 upwards Complete beginners and those with some experience. A sewing machine can be made available on request. Tuesdays 6.30 – 8.30pm Adult sewers (age 14 upwards) Complete beginners and introduction to dress making. This is a mixed ability course. For complete beginners we will cover machine set up, zips, buttonholes, hemming and simple edge bindings. A sewing machine can be made available on request Wednesdays 5.30 – 7.30pm Teenage Textiles A small group for age yr 7 upwards to work on their sewing projects. Beginners welcome Use a sewing machine or hand stitch and get creative. Machine, threads and some fabric can be supplied Dates of next blocks – at Bollington Community Centre Young sewers (age 8 upwards) Tuesdays 4.15pm – 6.15pm 2nd, 9th, 16th & 23rd June £48 for block of 3 Adult sewers (age 14 upwards) Tuesdays 6.30 – 8.30pm 2nd, 9th, 16th & 23rd June £70 for block of 4 This block is also available on a “pay as you go” basis – £20 a session Teenage Textiles Wednesdays 5.30 – 7.30pm 20th May, 27th May (half term); 3rd June, 10th June £60 for block of 4 (£45 if can’t make half term session) 2 hour -Taster session £20 Booking and prepayment essential If you need to borrow a machine, please request this on the booking form.
