Booking required Step back in time for a creative morning inspired by nature, storytelling and the art of handwritten correspondence. Using petals, leaves and botanical treasures gathered from the Abbey gardens, you'll create your very own handmade paper. While your paper dries, take inspiration from our summer exhibition Stay a While Longer… and discover the beauty of writing with quill and ink. Pen a wistful poem, a heartfelt letter or a simple rhyme, then finish your creation with a traditional wax seal, just as 18th-century romantics once did. This is a wonderful opportunity for adults and children to learn, create and spend quality time together - Make your own botanical paper - Try writing with quill and ink - Create a keepsake inspired by nature and history Leave with a collection of unique handmade creations and a deeper appreciation for the art of slowing down and putting pen to paper.
