The days starts at 10 am with tea/coffee and housekeeping, then opening words  to set some ideas or themes , then quiet time in the garden until 12, when a short walk with some examples of current flowers or garden perspectives that have some relevance to spiritual matters in a parable or symbolic way. Lunch , followed by quiet time until.2pm then closing prayers after which tea and cake are served. We are usually finished by 3pm but there is no rush to leave if you wish on the dot of 3pm, but we start to clear /4pm Lunch is either soup and bread if the weather is cool. Soup is always vegetarian and lactose free, GF cheese scone an option for those needing gf- although I would need notice of any food sensitivities. Alternative if weather is warm is cheese and bread with chutney and salad. There is no charge , but we leave a basket for donations out which is forwarded to The Quiet Garden Trust. We also have a visitors book and ask visitors to leave feedback in this. Parking on site is very limited which is why numbers of attendees is limited to 7 or 8. Please contact Lyn to book a place

Kinderkirche (Whitechapel)

Die Kinderkirche findet meist am 2.+4. Sonntag im Monat statt. Treffpunkt ist die Kapelle im Hof gegenüber von St. Bonifatius. Wir beginnen unseren Gottesdienst immer mit einem Lied und einem gemeinsamen Gebet. Dann wird es spannend: Wir erfahren etwas Neues von Jesus oder über ein Kirchenfest oder einen Heiligen - und alle Kinder dürfen mitmachen. Nach etwa einer halben Stunde gehen wir in die „große“ Kirche. Hier feiern wir mit allen anderen dann die Eucharistiefeier mit. Themen22. März: Freundschaft29. März: Palmsonntag - Hosianna12. Quiet Day

The Quiet Gardens at Runcton Manor will be restarting on Wednesday 17th September and then on the third Wednesday of every month up to and including July, except for the winter break in December, January and February. In a world where tension and pressure is steadily building up, Quiet Gardens offer the possibility to step away from the noise and business of everyday life and: Find rest in the beauty of nature: Pause in stillness Reflect in peace Connect with creation If you’d like to come – and first timers are particularly welcome – please aim to arrive any time after 10.45 for an 11am start. We details – and any last minute changes – are on our feel free to pass this message onto others who you think may be interested. We hope and look forward to seeing you at the Runcton Manor Quiet Garden in 2025/6.

Peace and quiet in a troubled world -quiet day

We are gearing up for another year of Quiet Gardens at Runcton Manor. Last year was very blessed with a solid core of regulars, as well as always a number of people encountering Quiet Gardens for the first time. There is also a continuation of the programme of rewilding and increasing the biodiversity at Runcton Manor. People seem to appreciate the Quiet Gardens for the sense of peace and stillness, as well as connecting to nature and their deeper selves – away from the noise and business of everyday life We will restart Quiet Garden quiet days at Runcton Manor on Wednesday 18th February. Thereafter, they will be on the third Wednesday of every month except August, December and January. If you’d like to come – and first timers are particularly welcome:Arrive any time after 10.40 for a prompt 11am start. day includes meditation, as well as the possibility to write, read, explore the grounds and use the labyrinth. Donations invited. We meet whatever the weather, indoors and/or outdoors. We attach a poster here which gives the dates and other details  for the first half of the year. Please feel free to pass it on or print and display wherever you feel may be appropriate. We hope and look forward to seeing you at the Runcton Manor Quiet Garden in 2026.
