Join us for our 6-week Hand-Building Ceramics Course!A relaxed, creative course for both beginners and returning potters – all are welcome! For beginners:Over the first 4 weeks, you’ll be introduced to essential hand-building techniques, including coil building, pinch pots, and slab construction. You’ll build confidence each week as you explore clay in a friendly, supportive environment. For returning potters:Bring your own ideas and inspiration! You’ll have the freedom to work on self-led projects, with guidance available when needed. While we sometimes offer creative challenges, we encourage returners to shape their own path and share ideas with others. Course structure:Weeks 1–4 focus on building, sculpting, adding texture, and refining your pieces so they’re ready to be fired. In weeks 5–6, you’ll dive into the colourful world of glazing, learning how to add surface decoration, depth, and personality to your finished work. A collaborative and supportive space:Our courses have a real sense of community, where everyone learns from each other. Whether it’s your first time or your tenth, you’ll find encouragement and creative energy from both the tutor and your fellow potters.
