Each year a symphony orchestra of 60 to 70 professional musicians visits Minehead for a week of glorious music making. In three concerts, the Festival Orchestra, with conductor Christopher Stark, present a selection of popular works mixed with some less well-known pieces. The first concert on Monday 27th July features works by Mendelssohn (Fingal’s Cave Overture), Elgar, Saint-Saëns (his Cello Concerto No.1), Bruch and Haydn (Symphony No. 99). Public Booking opens on Tuesday 16th June. Priority Booking for Festival Friends opens on Monday 1st June.
