The Church Wardens and Parochial Church Council of St Matthew's Church, High Brooms invite you to the Institution, Induction and Installation of Rev. Rob Byrne as Vicar of St. Matthew, High Brooms, by the Bishop of Rochester and the Archdeacon of Tonbridge. The service takes place on Tuesday 16th June 2026 beginning at 7:30pm at St Matthew's Church, High Brooms. There will be refreshments served after the service.

St. Matt's Toddler Group runs on Thursday mornings from 9.30am - 11.30am in term time. We have toys around the church for your children to play with, as well as a story and song time. Drinks are available throughout the session, and the children have fruit and a biscuit during the story time. Community Larder @ The Bethel hall

The community larder provides good quality surplus food from supermarkets, at a very low cost. Anyone can come along and get a bag of food to help with the rising cost of living. Come along with a shopping bag and a £5 donation, and you can take away a bag of food and hygiene items.

Deeper

Deeper is for children in school years 3 to 6, to come and have some after school fun & games. We have lots of games out, like football, board games, Nintendo Wii, and quieter things like colouring and construction toys. The children sit round a table together to have toast and squash and hear a short thought for the day, and they can buy some sweets from our tuck shop. Ignite

Ignite is our midweek group for young people in school years 7-11. We play games, have dinner, have time to chat, and have a thought for the week, as well as having tuck shop and other fun one off sessions. There are lots of activities for young people to do, like pool, table tennis, Xbox, crafts, colouring, football and other group games. As part of the session we share a hot meal together, so you don't have to try and fit dinner in at home as well! The cost is £1 per person each week. St. Matt's Community Hub

St. Matt's Community Hub is open every Wednesday 11am - 2pm. Warm, friendly and free - it is a place to meet people and feel connected. Hot and cold drinks and light lunches are available. There will be art activities, board games, knitting and newspapers. Donations are welcome for food and drinks but not required.
