About this event
After the enthusiastic reception to her March event, we’re delighted to welcome Dr Samantha Philo‑Gill back for LitOct 2026. Her illustrated talk on the Women’s Army Auxiliary Corps (WAAC) uncovers the stories of the women who stepped into Army roles from 1917 onwards, cooks, drivers, signallers, clerks, and more, and follows their experiences through the Spring Offensive, the Armistice, and beyond. The session includes time for questions and conversation.
