Come along for a meetup in Chalkwell Park, through the arch from the car park. 1st Friday morning of each month through the summer. Meet other parents, and parents-to-be, have a chat and enjoy the sunshine. Drop in any time. Bring your own toys, a blanket to sit on, a drink & snacks (or use the kiosk in the park).All expectant parents welcome and those with babies and/or toddlers/preschoolers. Join the broadcast WhatsApp info group for more info the morning of each day (if it rains you’ll proably find us in a local cafe instead!) – message for more info, DM or comment for details.

EWH: Open Advice Sessions with Saira Niazi

Come along to one of our artist advice and support sessions for artists, with the Metal Southend team and special guest writer Saira Niazi. We are offering free 1:1 sessions for writers, creatives and artists who live and/or work within our local areas. They will be led by you and what you would like to discuss. Sessions may include: – Discussing your creative practice or writing – Talking through a project idea – Advice or sign posting to different funding routes or opportunities – Building relationships with different organisations, voluntary groups, partners or venue – Budget development or reading draft applications We’re offering these sessions in person at Chalkwell Hall, as well as the option to discuss your work with us online. There is one session available per artist and the slots are 1 hour long.
