In this engaging jewellery making workshop, you’ll learn how to create your own beautiful silver ring from start to finish. You will incorporate striking textured elements to make your piece uniquely yours. Under expert guidance you’ll discover traditional metalworking techniques whilst crafting a silver ring you’ll be proud to wear or gift. This session is perfectly suited for complete beginners – no jewellery making experience needed. The relaxed, supportive environment allows you to explore learning at a comfortable pace, with expert demonstration and assistance at every step. During this hands on session, you’ll master essential silversmithing skills including: Forging and rolling an ingot Precise measuring and sizing for the perfect fit Professional forming techniques for heavy weight rings Safe and effective soldering methods Creating beautiful surface textures Expert finishing and polishing You’ll leave the session with your own handcrafted silver ring. You’ll also have foundational knowledge to continue exploring jewellery making. This rewarding experience opens up a whole new world of creative possibilities, giving you valuable insights into the art of working with precious metals. Materials: Silver is in addition to the course fee and will be worked out by weight.

During this workshop, you will learn how to create a piece of jewellery using a variety of silver-clay techniques, including: Rolling and texturing the clay Using pre-made moulds to create tiny shell elements Refining, assembling and securely constructing your pendant Sculpting a sea-foam texture Syringe-setting a sparkling cubic zirconia Creating small pebble elements By the end of the day you will have used all of these techniques to make a beautiful seashore-themed piece of jewellery, which you can kiln-fire, polish, and patinate.
