LGBTQ+ friendly beginners and intermediate ballet class. A holistic practice that will improve your strength, coordination and flexibility. This weekly ballet class is designed for members of the LGBTQ+ community who want to learn the foundations of ballet or build on existing skills in a safe, supportive, and welcoming environment. Through a holistic approach to movement, the class helps improve strength, coordination, flexibility, and body awareness. Participants are encouraged to explore their physical abilities and creativity through the expressive art of ballet. No formal ballet attire is required. Simply wear comfortable clothing that allows you to move freely. Ballet shoes are optional. Come along to move, connect, and experience the joy of dancing in community and perhaps discover a little more of your true essence along the way. About the facilitator Ballet in the Park believes ballet belongs to everyone. Their mission is to break down the elitist barriers that have long surrounded this art form and reimagine ballet as a space of freedom, expression, and belonging.
